Before making any visible exterior change to your home you must submit an Application for Architectural Change to the HOA for review and approval by the Architectural Control Committee.

Please refer to the Residential Improvement Guidelines and the Homestead Traditional Aesthetic for specific details about improvements or changes to your property.

Updates to these documents are listed below:

  • Exterior brick may be painted with approval

  • Garage and front doors may only be painted a single color

  • All garage doors must be painted the body color

  • Garage door window molding should be the same color as the door

  • Vertical panel style garage doors are not approved

  • Welded wire may be used with split rail fencing except in front yards

  • No edging, pavers, rock, beds are allowed along front where yard meets sidewalk

  • Porch ceilings must be white or natural wood

  • Railings must be powder coated steel in bronze, black or white

  • Shutters must be sized so that each shutter, if closed, would cover half of the window

  • Minimum number of window grids is 4 for the top and 4 for the bottom windows

  • Small horizontal rectangular slider window by bathrooms or above kitchen will be approved for some models

  • Block glass not approved

  • Obscure glass for entry doors and sidelights may be either seeded glass or the "Sable" pattern by Cordel

  • A package label from any roofing shingle product is required by the ACC upon delivery of shingles to verify the proper shingles are installed
